Taos has always focused on maintaining a strong local economy given our remote beauty, our small size and distance from larger cities with mass transportation. Today as the world seeks to build local, living economies, Taos is well positioned. Taos has a strong commitment to remain small, beautiful, and sustainable.

The Taos community has specific issues for which it does and will advocate. These are: a higher Renewable Energy Portfolio, Healthy Kids, Healthy Economies, Local Food Procurement, Healthcare for Small Businesses, EcoTourism appropriations, tax credits for solar installations, and more!

Programs in Taos will focus on the following areas: Building Our Local Economy by focusing on Renewable Energy, EcoTourism, Food and Agriculture, and Green Building.

A special thank you to our Taos Chapter Sponsors: Julie Tennant Designs
