Green Certification
The NM Green Chamber of Commerce is currently developing a Green Certification Program that seeks to encourage businesses to become more eco-friendly and energy efficient, and will provide participant businesses with advertising opportunities to attract responsible customers.
In order to become a Green Certified Business, your business will agree to a set of criteria for various categories of certification. A Green Certified business must meet the criteria for at least 2 of our Green Practices categories. These include:
- Energy conscious business
- Waste conscious business
- Water conscious business
- Materials conscious business
- Local economy steward
- Locally owned business
- Socially responsible business
- Green leader business
- Certified B Corporation
Green Certified Businesses will enjoy the following membership benefits:
- Green Certification Icons will be listed on the Green Chamber’s online Business Directory
- Green Certification Icons will appear next to your listing in your community’s Think Local First Guide (where applicable)
- Electronic “Green Certified Business” and Green Certification Icons downloads
- “Green Certified Business” or Green Certification Icons window decal
