As the largest city in New Mexico, Albuquerque is uniquely qualified to be a leader in sustainable business and clean energy. As part of the extended metro area, Rio Rancho is the third largest city in the state and one of the fastest growing. Together these communities serve as an example of how urban business can be both sustainable and profitable.

As large urban areas, Albuquerque and Rio Rancho are at the forefront of state issues concerning urban development, green building, renewable energy, as well as the heart of any city–local business. Because of it’s size, Albuquerque has the ability to shift the way New Mexicans do business.

By advocating for Clean Energy, Local Food Procurement, Healthcare for Small Businesses, and Local Buying, Albuquerque can shift the way New Mexico does business and leverage it’s purchasing power to help other sustainable businesses around the state.

Programs in Albuquerque will focus on the following areas: Building Our Local Economy by focusing on Renewable Energy, Green Building, Public Awareness, Green Jobs, and Supporting Local Business.

A special thank you to our Albuquerque & Rio Rancho Chapter Sponsors: CST Solar, Focus Ink, and Scalo Northern Italian Grill
